Long Sleeve Shirts & Coats
The long sleeve shirts & coats are all short sleeve shirts and coats offered by Propper. The long sleeve shirts & coats consist of BDU shirts, APCU base layers, APCU hoodies, TAC.U coats, ACU coats, ABU coats and tactical dress shirts. The BDU shirts are part of Battle Dress Uniform, once the standard battle uniform used throughout the US Military but now is in the process of being phased out by each branch of the US military if it hasn’t been already. The ACU coat is part of the new combat uniform used by the US Army, the Army Combat Uniform. The ACU completely phased out the BDU for use in the US Army in December of 2007 and features a universal camouflage pattern, UCP or ARmy PATtern ARPAT. The universal camouflage pattern consists of gray, tan and sage green in a digital pattern. The color black was omitted from the uniform because it is not commonly found in nature and also, when pure black is viewed through night vision goggles it appears excessively dark and creates an undesirable high contrast. The ABU is short for Airman Battle Uniform, the new battle uniform for the US Air Force completely replacing the Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) by 2011. The camouflage pattern for the ABU is digital tiger stripe camouflage. The digital tiger stripe camouflage comprises the colors tan, grey, green and slate blue (air force blue) in a digital pattern. APCU base layers and hoodies are part of Advanced Protective Combat Uniform laying system. The APCU layering system consists of 7 layers and when combine can protect against the most extreme weather conditions. The APCU base layer is a level 2 layer and the APCU spy hoodie is a level 3 layer. Tactical Belts
The Propper tactical belts are heavy duty belts made specifically for tactical operations and military use. Tactical belts can be used with a variety of pants including tactical pants, BDU pants, ACU pants, duty pants, TAC.U pants, EMT pants and much more. Tactical belts have a fully adjustable waist for comfort and versatility. Tactical belts allow you to add holsters and an assortment of pouches for tactical needs. This tactical belt is included for free when purchasing Proppers lightweight tactical pants (F5243). Tactical belts are most commonly seen used by tactical operators and military personnel to hold duty pouches and holsters from. Tactical belts also can be used by anyone as a normal belt would, keeping the pants adjusted at a certain level. TAC.U Shirts
The Propper TAC.U coat is a tactical uniform coat based on the design of the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) coat. The superior design of the ACU was combined with specific features needed by tactical operators and the result is the TAC.U, a durable uniform that would be used by law enforcement and SWAT. Features found in TAC.U coat are four pockets, two on the sleeve and two tilted chest pockets, a longer coattail to tuck in, external Velcro patches for name and insignia, mandarin collar, pen/pencil pocket on sleeve, and an external elbow pad pocket. This coat can be used with or without a vest, when being used with a tactical vest or body armor the sleeve pockets are still accessible. The TAC.U coat is worn by tactical professionals involved in law enforcement, SWAT and the military. The Propper TAC.U pants is a tactical uniform pants based on the design of the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) pants. The superior design of the ACU was combined with specific features needed by tactical operators and the result was the TAC.U, a durable uniform that would be used by law enforcement and SWAT. Features that can be found in both the ACU and the TAC.U are the durable doubt seat and knee construction, pockets at the knees to add knee pads and the slash pocket design. The newly added features to the TAC.U pants are as follows, a gripper waistband to keep the coat tucked in when maneuvering, larger heavy duty belt loops for large duty belts, and a zipper fly. Proppers TAC.U pants are used by tactical professionals in SWAT, the Police force and other tactical operators.
