Multicam Hats & Caps
The multicam hats & caps are hats & caps that feature the multicam camouflage pattern. Multicam hats & caps consist of a BDU patrol cap and a boonie hat. Multicam camouflage is a modern multi-environment camouflage pattern developed by Crye Associates. The Multicam pattern was a contender to replace the 3 color desert camouflage and the woodland camouflage pattern but was beat out by the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP) which can be seen in the Army Combat Uniform (ACU). Though the multicam camouflage pattern was beat out by the UCP it is still used by some American Special Operation units and law enforcement agencies. Recently the US Army has approved of the use of the multicam camouflage for the next tour of the 173rd Airborne Brigade to Afghanistan. Multicam has background colors of brownish to light tan gradient and lime green blending in between, the main parts consist of green to yellowish green gradient and also dark brown and light pinkish blotches spread throughout the pattern. Public Safety Caps
The Propper public safety caps are baseball caps with public safety sectors embroidered on the cap. Public safety caps have a long stiff brim that is either flat or curved. The brim of the public safety cap serves the purpose to block the eyes from the sun and face. Public safety sectors that are embroidered on the caps include “Police,” “Policia,” “Security,” “Sheriff,” “SWAT,” and “EMT.” Selected caps are embroidered in yellow or white on a black or navy cap. Proppers public safety caps can be worn by people in the public safety sector they serve, and people can wear it to show pride in one of the sectors. The MultiCam pattern is a modern multi-environmental camouflage pattern developed by Crye Associates in conjunction with the US Army Soldier System Center. The Multicam has background colors of a brown to light tan gradient with lime green blending in between, the main part consist of green to yellowish green gradient and finally dark brown and light pinkish blotches spread throughout the pattern. The distinct pattern allows the appearance of Multicam to change from greenish to brownish in different areas. The Multicam camouflage pattern was one of the contending patterns to replace the 3 color desert and woodland camouflage pattern as the new camouflage pattern used by the US Army. The Multicam pattern was beat out by the universal camouflage pattern seen in the Army Combat uniform, ACU. Though the Multicam pattern wasn’t elected as the new standard camouflage pattern it is still used by some American Special Operations units and law enforcement agencies including the Department of Homeland Security. Recently, the US Army has approved the use of Multicam for the next tour of the 173rd Airborne Brigade to Afghanistan. The Multicam pattern is used in the following countries military Poland, United States, United Kingdoms Special Forces, Chile’s Marines, Montenegro and more.
